Reaming a new flange bushing can take a lot of time if you are using a broach set. Broaches are great for finesse fitting, but a more aggressive approach will save you time on fresh cloth.
You will need:
Select a pin that is a half size smaller than your goal pin. Rough up the surface with the metal file and install the pin in the pin vise. The file will give the pin enough of a textured surface to act as a file on the bushing cloth. The pin will quickly get you to the half size under your desired fit, and you can then use the broaches to achieve the final fit.
